MANN Tom D. Tom D. Mann, 67 years, of Petersburg, died Thursday. Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Monday, August 22, 2011, from 2-8 PM. He will lie in state at the Petersburg United Methodist Church, Tuesday, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor Joel Walther will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Tiffin, OH, on Wednesday. Tom was born March 6, 1944, in Tiffin, OH, the son of Clarence and Ruthanna (Hixson) Mann. He received his Associates Degree in Computer Technology from Davis College. Tom married Carolyn "Sue" Dilsazer June 21, 1986, in Marion, OH. A member of Petersburg United Methodist Church, he loved fishing and wood working, and was a member of The Petersburg Woodchuck Club, and River View Yacht Club, Point Place, OH. Surviving are his wife, Sue; son, Scott (Rebecca) Mann; daughters, Karen (John) Sanchez, Jennifer (Rob) VanMeter, Lori (Bob) Schoch-Mann, Anna (Jeff) Nelson; twin brother, John (Anita) Mann, brother, Myron "Mike" (Kathy) Mann; special friend, Jerry Hilsmier, and grandchildren, Adam, Nicholas, Nathan, Amy, Amber, Stephanie, Kaitlyn, Josephine, Justin, Samantha, Makayla, and Danielle. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Scott Mann, Jr. Memorial contributions for Mr. Mann, may be made to: The Petersburg United Methodist Church Restoration Fund. Ernie Miller

    I ran into Tom in the late 60's in Toledo and became friends, went on fishing trip to Canada. After he divorced we lost contact until the 80's when he joined Riverview Yacht Club, which I was a member, talk about the old days,

 

and we went to the 20th class reunion,met his wife Sue, he was great guy, funny, and new alot about fishing, I was shock at his passing just before are 50th reunion,we talk about going. He is missed by us all. Ernie
