Great memories of Monroe Grade School, the wooden floors, the cold bathrooms in the basement, the bell tower, and lots of good friends.

On to junior high and high school. Lots of mischevious fun with Jerry Haines (which we learned from her Mom, I think). 16th birthday slumber party! Basketball games, Football games! summers at Gem Beach with Jane Thompson, Penny Smith, Jean Bigham, Suellen Roberts, Cindy Olds. Dances at HB park, the "Y" after football games, all fond memories.

On to college - 2 years at Ohio State then Sue Roberts and I took a bus trip to California. We both got married within a couple of months there. (I married a guy who visited his sister in Tiffin in 1962 - we had kept in touch). Worked for the phone company in Compton (remember the infamous Watt's Riots) - I was there.

Two children, Jeff & Laura, then back to work at the telephone company for a couple of years. 1979, started at a computer company called DEC, who was eventually bought out by Compaq and then by HP. 26 years later, after a career in Operations and Sales, I retired.

Love the retirement life.

9th grade English teacher - (don't remember her name). I wrote a paper (as we all did) and got a C+ on it! I was humiliated - I thought it was a great paper! And she sent all the A papers into some State writing contest. So, I got the information from her and sent mine in on my own. Guess who got "honorable mention" from the state - the only writing award our class got! Not my favorite teacher to say the least.

Retired - 27 years in Operations and Sales in the high tech industry.

Now, it's tennis, bridge, maybe some mahjong, or horseback riding now and then.

Funderburg's Farm - camping by the creek with family and friends.
